The UT Gallery - curated by Matt Irwin, hosted by UNIQLO

To celebrate the launch of The UT Project, a collection of over 700 limited edition printed t-shirts designed by the world’s greatest artists and designers, we have collaborated with fashion photographer and Dazed and Confused contributor Matt Irwin to open The UT Gallery in London’s East End.

The gallery will feature a selection of the 200 images shot by Matt Irwin over 10-days in both London and New York City as part of the UT global advertising campaign.

Matt Irwin and top fashion stylist Nicola Formichetti embarked on a multi-media grass-roots search for talent that included street-casting and canvassing the ultimate self-expression destination; MySpace. The result is one of the biggest and diverse collections of images for a UNIQLO advertising campaign to date, featuring 200 up-and-coming artists and future visionaries from both cities.

The complete collection of Matt Irwin photographs will feature in UNIQLO Paper No. 4; our in-house magazine, in stores from the middle of April.

The UT Gallery is open from 2 – 21 May 2008 at:
    Unit 4 & 5

    Dray Walk (off Brick Lane)
