    Designer Invitation Project

    Juliana Jabour
Jabour’s versatile collection of draped printed jersey dresses and tops takes inspiration from the 1970’s and 1980’s. The asymmetrical stripes and small prints add to her soft, feminine pieces and are available in a soft palette of creams, blues and browns. Central to the collection is the soft, draped jersey drawstring dress with a scooped jersey neckline and delicate adjustable waistband, creating a versatile silhouette. The collection offers a fashion forward take on traditional cotton and jersey fabrics, using fresh and contemporary colours. Available in-store from mid-March, from £24.99.

    Alexander Wang
Wang’s innovative take on every daywear is perfectly captured in his UNIQLO Designer Invitation collaboration, featuring inventively designed dresses that will be the must-have items for Summer ’08. The ‘pocket dress’ is a key item in this collection, featuring an elasticised waistband and a cut-away lower back; this dress has been beautifully cut to create fluid slouchy front ‘pockets’ and a stunning silhouette. Wang’s monochromatic palette is indicative of his sophisticated take on easy-to-wear women’s clothing. Available instore from April, from £19.99.

    Tim Hamilton
Ivory league prep meets vintage lower east side sets the tone for Hamilton’s UNIQLO Designer Invitation collection. Hamilton’s collection spins a romantic ideal with a contemporary style. Long length cotton cardigans are worn with high gloss, boxy nylon blouson jackets; mixing retro 70’s finishes with the classic Americana of the traditional cardigan. To complete the outfit, wardrobe with traditional chinos in a vintage slim fit or coloured denim in grey white or red. Available instore from mid-March, from £19.99.

    Loden Dager
Loden Dager is a New York City-based design collective established in 2005. Their UNIQLO Designer Invitation collection has been inspired by Brighton mods on scooters featuring skinny tailored shorts and jackets in muted shades. The overall palette is highlighted with weather-beaten beach hut style colours, through the use of checked jacket lining and short sleeve shirts. The overall feeling is a mixture of 1960’s soft tailoring, comfortable Riviera knits and fresh seaside colours. Available in-store from mid-May from £12.99.
