Our straight Fit Selvedge Jeans are made with selvedge denim from some of Japan's most renowned denim mills and are inspired by vintage straight cut jeans.
The word 'selvedge' is synonymous with vintage jeans and refers to the uncut edge of the fabric which is woven in such a way that it will not fray.  Our selvedge jeans are made using unbleached brown cotton for both horizontal and vertical threads.  This process results in jeans that have a much deeper indigo color than most brands which only use unbleached brown cotton for vertical threads.  To identify selvedge denim, look for the red thread inside the cuff of the jeans, this is a symbol of true selvedge denim.
